Message from CEO in response to the natural disaster in Japan

2011-03-14

Dear Friends,

Having experienced firsthand both the terrorist attack on NYC on September 11, 2001, and the worst earthquake to ever struck Japan at the last day of our lighting exhibition in Tokyo on March 11, 2011, has led to the realization that even the most sophisticated and prepared societies in the world cannot take on a black swan event.

It is time for the governments of nations worldwide to see their national power grid and electricity production as one of the most important strategic assets for the well being and the continuation of civilization and restoration for their country and citizens.

Our lighting products provides not just illumination, but also security, increased productivity, and also spaces for humans to gather together to live, to work, and to share.

What made AMKO stood out is that we added benefits such as energy efficiency, longevity, network communication, and the highest quality (all our lamps at the show survived the earthquake and continued to perform), and these benefits are the needs of the current world - societies that are integrated and dependent on the basic services of food, water, shelter, electricity and data capability.

AMKO will continue with our endless research and development in creating technologies that will promote the wellbeing of its users, an effort that is proven ever more crucial after these tragic events. Our technology will enable the nations to recover and prosper.

Yours truly,
Michael Ng
CEO
